Meet the Team
Good Ideas - Good People - Hard Work
Originally, The Northgate Group, was a weekend warrior. In 2003 we took on our first project; a 1940's house on Northgate Street in Durham that my grandparents had lovingly called home since they were married.
Our low budget provided for two workers; my husband and myself. Fortunately, our family was willing to share their expertise, and we were able to talk friends with know-how into spending a day working with us for a free lunch.
After this first renovation we decided to form The Northgate Group, LLC. named in honor of the home where my grandparents lived their lives. We have grown into a company of 8 full time team members and together have gone on to completely restore historic homes, renovate neglected houses, create and recreate commercial spaces, and build new homes, offices and restaurants from the ground up. What hasn’t changed is our drive and determination from that of our weekend warrior days.
The Northgate Group, LLC. is truly a family company. We live, work, and play together. For our clients, this means a seamless team working on their project. We take a personal stake in our projects and enjoy the relationship that develops with clients during the process.
