Here's another project that we recently completed in the Historic Glenwood area of Raleigh. The original house was built in 1926, and was just over 1500 sf. We added on approximately 1300 sf with a new addition. Check out everything we did below.
The kitchen is brand new. Gray shaker cabinetry, subway tile, and granite countertops really give the space an updated feel.
The original footprint of the house ended at the kitchen. Everything you see below was part of the new addition. We opened up the kitchen to a large living space, and refinished the floors to complete the transition seamlessly.
We created a mudroom and half bath for overall improved functionality. The glass mosaic wet wall really adds a unique touch.
Adding a new master suite allowed us to create a sizable bedroom with access to the porch. We connected a spacious closet and master bath to the original house through a laundry room for optimal convenience.
The large screened in porch really ties it all together.
Here's a final shot from the exterior.
We're really pleased with the results, and feel confident in calling this project another success!
